Weight loss drugs - do they work?

Two Daily Telegraph reporters are currently trying different weight loss drugs each. One is trying Alli, the other is using Appesat. and this is a report of their progress, one week on from starting to use these drugs.

One of the reported side effects of this weight loss drug, is uncontrollable discharges, so it takes a brave volunteer to offer themselves as a guinea pig just to find out if the drug does what it claims, that is, make you lose weight. In this experiment however, no side effects are reported, and the user of this drug has lost 3lbs. weight in one week.


Weight loss drug Appesat



No side effects are reported after one week of use, neither has the volunteer lost any weight. With this drug, you have to take three pills with liquid, not hot, before each meal, and the volunteer using this weight loss drug found that this did not fit too well into her lifestyle.
